We camped here for one night and the only camper spot while visiting relatives and it is such a beautiful spot. Everyone there is so friendly and kind. We have not stayed inside the Lodge but have seen the rooms and they are lovely and quaint.
A couple suggestions for the dining room1. Leave the coffee pots (reg and decaf) on a side table. With only 1 server in the morning, getting coffee was slow and some people are grumpy when they don’t get their coffee.2. Do the same with the ketchup in the morning. By the time I got my ketchup, my breakfast was almost over.
This place is a time capsule. Wonderful to sit back and forget about responsibilities for a short time. New management must not forget about maintenance of physical plant. The wood continues to age and painting goes a long way..First arrived at Miners Bay in 1959..Keep it as it was. Protect it and visitors will always return.RespectfullyAl/Debbie Day
The only issue we had was portion size at meals. We got basically the same size meal as adults as the 2 oyr old at our table. If you had sizes, you could reduce wasted food. Thank you for a great time
Great place to be in nature with the family. Very welcoming team that will ensure you and your family have a great visit
This is a vacation spot worth driving to.... myself and my family have come here 26 years in a row...a step back in time.... you get your cabin or room.... meals included are breakfast and dinner.....more than enough to satisfy.... you get to meet people from throughout Canada and America..... Colorado to Florida.... pristine water on 2 lakes..Gull lake and Round lake... hiking, fishing, nature trails all on the property!!if you long to relax or take your kids for a wonderful memorable vacation... this is the spot... and with the exchange rate running around 35%...it's a deal.
I stay in my trailer at Miners’ Bay Lodge. The property is beautiful with a low-key family-friendly vibe that’s suited to people of all ages. The staff are friendly and helpful. It’s always a fun, relaxing getaway.
We will me returning to Miners Bay for many years! We love the atmosphere and food, and management is doing a great job updating and modernizing while keeping costs affordable for families.
Went her every summer as a kid.And several as an adult.Would go back in a heartbeat! So much love for MBL!
We had a wonderful time, service was good, food excellent . The only complaint I have is the shower in our cabin was terrible
We love Miners Bay, no better place to be for family fun!
We love coming back to MBL year after year. The staff are always helpful and friendly. The renovations in the cottages are awesome! Can’t wait to keep coming back every year!
Miners’ Bay is one of my favourite places in the world. Everyone goes out of their way to make you happy and welcome, and there is an incredible range of activities to keep kids busy. From the staff, to the food, to the views, we begin looking forward to returning as we reluctantly have to drive away each year. Thank you to everyone at MBL!
50s era resort. Think Dirty Dancing only ... the lake is real and still there.
Miner’s Bay Lodge is a family-friendly getaway from the pressures of every day life. It takes you back to simpler times flawlessly for all to enjoy the things that matter most.
While the rooms were very small and dated, the location, staff, and food were amazing. We had great time with our grandchildren!
I’ve been coming to MBL for 24 years with my kids and now as young adults, they still want to keep coming! We meet up with good friends and have great times. It’s a family tradition we cherish and one that’s worth the drive!
Great time! 2 lakes, plenty of activities, good food twice a day. Outstanding summer experience.
Stoped by the store for some ice cream cones. Reasonable priced 8 variety’s to choose from. Nice to be able to access from the water. They have a dock for you leave your boat.
The rooms are all lovely and the old time charm is so quaint and all the staff are so lind. The people really care about Miners Bay Lodge and making it a wonderful place to be!
My friend has a trailer there and it’s beautiful 🤩 they have friendly chipmunks 🐿️ too. They even have a campfire night where you can make hotdogs over a fire or smores while singing 🎵 I would highly recommend coming here and either going on the trailer list or getting a cabin you won’t regret it and the food is to die for
Beautiful lake views that can't be beat!New chef is great!
Always so impressed with how they run their business! Highly recommend!
I can not be more enthusiastic to express my love for MBL. Such a perfect spot to spend time with family and friends with so much to do! The staff and fellow guests are extremely welcoming. Truly feels like home.
Beautiful, scenic location, close to various attractions. Food and service is excellent. I look forward to returning each year.
We recently had our wedding at Miners' Bay in mid September and it was without a doubt the best day of our lives. We had originally thought of having our wedding at a summer camp - we wanted to bring everyone together for the weekend in a nature-filled, relaxed environment. When we realized many of the options were out of our budget, we happened to stumble upon Miners' Bay. It wasn't a summer camp but it had more than enough cabins to host our nearly 100 guests and it had the feel and culture we were looking for. The property in September was absolutely gorgeous. The trees had started to turn and the historic buildings added a charm that no modern wedding venue would be able to replicate. It had the rustic, vintage vibe we had been searching for. Not to mention, it offered tons of fun amenities for our guests. When we arrived a couple days earlier to set up, the wonderful admin/maintenance/housekeeping team were present, ready to help us out, and always so lovely to work with. The accommodations were awesome, very clean and well kept. We managed to book up the whole resort with the exception of a couple cabins - everyone was comfortable and able to connect with each other on the day of and after the wedding. We could really feel the hospitality from all the staff, including the servers, who had grown up going to Miners' Bay and came back from the regular season to assist with the event. It became apparent that everyone was not only aware of the wedding, but had been looking forward to it all summer. The obvious buzz of excitement from the staff was so pleasant and unexpected, it really felt like they were celebrating our marriage with us! We left truly feeling the love from the unique community that is Miners' Bay Lodge, something that money can't buy. There were some last minute complications with the food/menu and Darren, the general manager, somehow pulled it together. In the end, the food was incredible - our guests were remarking on how it was some of the best wedding food they had ever had. Given they are not a full-time wedding venue, we did have to put in a bit of extra work transforming the spaces into the wedding we dreamed of. But they were always open to our ideas and supported us in making it happen. If you are in the market for a laid back, super fun wedding, we would highly recommend this venue!
Cutest ice cream, candy, and coffee shop on Gull Lake. We have never stayed at the lodge, but we frequently visit the store by boat or bike. It's a family favourite treat and the staff are so kind and helpful.
So happy I found this place to spend our 24th anniversary! Cute and very clean cabin, great food, 2 awesome beaches to choose from, fantastic fishing! And the people that stay here instantly make you feel like friends. If you like to do activities, they have you covered. If you like to just relax, it’s perfect. We will be back. Highly recommend!
A great place to vacation and connect with family and friends. Clean accommodations, friendly staff, great organized activities and endless fun. The place to go to create life long memories.
Great little store near our cottage. Great staff
I've been coming to MBL for 40 years. My grandfather started the tradition over 70 years ago and it's been a staple in our summer ever since.Coming to Miners Bay is like taking a step back in time. I always describe it like the movie Dirty Dancing - without all of the dancing. People are all kind, there's no air conditioning, and your cottage is bare bones. There's tons of activities from ping pong to sand castle contests to ice cream socials. You can be as busy or as relaxed as you want to be.I have and do recommend MBL to anyone looking for a summer camp for adults!
